Sedona

A few weekends ago I got the chance to visit Sedona for the FIRST TIME! I went hiking with a couple of friends and ended up meeting so many great people.

The hike was beautiful and TOTALLY worth the two hour drive from Phoenix.

But… if there is one thing I learned about my adventure in Sedona…. it is…. WEAR SUNSCREEN!

I was literally a tomato by the end of the hike and my tan lines were INSANE! Learn from my mistakes!! Also make sure you’re hydrated and bring a water bottle with you. That Arizona heat can and will get to you.

Have fun and happy hiking!

Grand Central Coffee Company

Grand Central is a very unique coffee shop. It’s two stories and it’s dim lighting is ironically the best working environment.

Unique bar and decorations at Grand Central

They always have fun music playing and are open 24 hours, which is great for a late night study sesh. They have a great selection of food and even have a “Late Night” menu for the long hours in the middle of the night.

I have spent a lot of time studying in Grand Central, and every time, I find a new nook or crany that makes the entire place even more interesting. The vintage couches and and tables bring the whole place together, and make even the most boring homework fun.

And the best part? They have live bands perform and music playing throughout the entire night! And if you’re 21, they serve alcoholic beverages.

Grand Central has a lot of bright lighting to liven up the dark cafe.

There coffee is amazing and they honestly put Starbucks to shame (sorry but not sorry). If you’re ever in downtown Phoenix, make sure you stop at this hipster coffee shop. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Fair Trade

Fair Trade Cafe is located on the ASU Downtown Campus in the city of Phoenix.

This is a great local coffee shop that is cozy, cool and a great place to study or catch up with friends. The outside atmosphere is beautiful. A fountain covers the entire wall and it is very calming and peaceful. Inside is just as

The inside of fair trade has a very cozy and comfortable feel.

great, for there are multiple little coaches and different types of table to add to the artsy vibe.

I go to the cafe almost everyday and it is one of my favorite places to study. The atmosphere is always positive and relaxed and I could honestly stay there for hours.

For all of you coffee lovers, this is definitely a place to try! I am usually not a big coffee person, but I always look forward to a hot cup of joe at the Fair Trad

The café  has an outside area where you can soak up the sun while enjoying an iced coffee.

Even if you’re not in love with coffee, they have an incredible lemonade that is almost totally frozen but melts nicely with the hot Arizona sun. It’s one of my favorite ways to cool off, especially as the temperatures hit the 90s.

They also have a ton of food options (which is a must for me). I personally love their ‘House Salad’. It’s big enough to have leftovers, and if you’re low on cash like me, then that is an extra bonus! Two meals with one stone!

This is a great cafe to relax, study, and hang out in and I would recommend it a thousand times if I could. Enjoy!
